Anyone else out there a super picky eater? Well I am, it’s quite the burden I must admit, so when my son was born I vowed to do whatever I could get to him to not be picky. I was going to get him to try all different types of foods, open his pallet to new and exciting foods that I never had the opportunity to when I was a kid. Well turns out no matter how many different types of “baby food” I fed him when he was first starting out he still has turned out to be a picky eater. The moment we went from pureed food to “solids” he has decided he doesn’t like vegetables no matter how they are cooked or presented. Meat is touch and go for him, again it matters what it’s cooked in and what it feels like. He won’t eat anything off a utensil and has decided to be texture picky along with taste picky. It’s not even that he’s giving the food a chance and deciding he doesn’t like it, he won’t even try certain foods and this no utensil bit makes it even harder as now I have to be creative with finger foods for him.
I have taken to using Pinterest to find recipes for food which I can hide certain ingredients in to make sure my son is still getting all his nutrients. For example I make him these Avocado/Blueberry mini muffins in them I add a ton of greek yogurt and next batch I’m going to puree some broccoli and mix that in there too. He just loves them and I’m getting a ton of goodness into his little picky eater body!

I find other mom’s blogs to be very helpful in understanding that my son isn’t the only picky eater out there! There are also some very creative mom’s out there and I find their recipes helpful because when it comes to cooking, I can’t just throw anything together off the top of my head!
I think I’ll make this site a support site for moms to vent and share the life of a mommy on!
Thanks for reading and I look forward to exploring this thing called being a mommy with you.
